Access for all
Accessibility describes the degree to which a product can be used by as many people as possible. We follow the paradigm of universal design which involves an understanding of accessibility as a comprehensive approach from which the users benefit, independent of any existing disability.
Universal design and accessibility
Universal design was developed based on the concept of accessibility. It is an approach for the development of products, websites and services with the goal of creating one solution for all, not multiple, specialised solutions. Especially due to demographic changes resulting in an increasing number of elderlies, universal design will continue to gain in relevance. Neither disabled people nor the elderly are interested in specialty products. What counts is finding universally applicable solutions.

Accessibility – not only about coding
Discussions about accessibility often cover style sheets, code structure and metadata. However, accessibility and universal design involve more, starting from looking at their specific requirements.
- What do you need to do so that your product is not only accessible but will also be accepted by the users?
- Does your wording reflect the expectations and needs of your target group?
- What special design requirements need to be addressed?
- For which user experience are you aiming?
We can guide you in achieving a universal design covering all project phases, from requirements analysis and user research to visual design, site structure and technical implementation.
